David Bolton, M.Ed, LPC

David is the Clinical Director with 31 years experience in the field of mental health. He is a counseling graduate of UNCG and has served as a board member for the North Carolina Women’s Committee on Substance Abuse; past Chair of the Ethics Committee, Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina and trainer for the North Carolina Psychological Association’s Disaster Response Network.

Roy Book, MD

Dr. Book is a Louisiana native and completed his Bachelor’s Degree from Louisiana State University and his Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia. After working in the field of chemical dependency, he completed his Doctor of Medicine from Mercer University and finished his Residency at Duke University with the Department of Psychiatry. He brings over 25 years of personal and clinical experience in the field of addiction medicine and adult psychiatry.

Thomas Brown, MD, JD

Dr. Brown brings over 30 years of experience in the psychiatry and addiction medicine field to Triad Behavioral Resources. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, as well as, obtaining a law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with qualifications in Addiction Psychiatry. He is also certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine. In the past he has worked as an assistant professor for Wake Forest University School of Medicine, served as the Director of Substance Abuse Services for Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, and is currently practicing with the VA in Salisbury, NC.

Mat Sandifer, LCSW, LCAS

Mat has been a member of North Carolina’s substance abuse professional community since 1992. He has been employed in numerous capacities including publicly and privately funded inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment facilities as well as his current position as a family and addictions therapist at Triad Behavioral Resources in Greensboro, NC. Additionally, Mat began a private practice three years ago with a focus on supporting families affected by substance use disorder. Mat was appointed the Guilford County Board of Mental Health and served as a member of the Client’s Rights Committee for Guilford County. Currently, Mat is the Vice President for the North Central Region of Addictions Professionals of North Carolina. As an advocate for substance abuse treatment, Mat has spoken at numerous community and professional engagements, i.e. the NC Bar Association, NC Social Worker networking events, and at local universities. Mat earned a Master of Social Work at UNCG and NC A&T and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist.

Susan B. Hardison CSAC

Susan is a Greensboro, NC native with over 25 years of experience in the field of addiction treatment. She recently joined the team of professionals at Triad Behavioral Resources. Susan obtained her CSAC from the NCSAPPB and her Associates Degree from GTCC. She is currently finishin her BSW at UNCG with plans of pursuing her MSW. Susan brings a wealth of knowledge in substance abuse counseling from her past employment in outpatient, hospital, court, in-home, and inpatient settings. She has practiced substance abuse counseling as the county liaison to the state hospital, and has served as the representative for involuntary committed substance abusers in Guilford County. Susan has expertise with crisis intervention, harm reduction, counseling education, and mental health, as well as, alcohol and other drug abuse counseling/treatment. Susan maintains her CSAC with the NCSAPPB. She is also certified as a Criminal Justice Specialist and holds a Master Addiction Counseling endorsement through the National Assocciation of Forensic Counselors.

Rosemarie Palazzolo, CSAC

Rosemarie, Triad Behavioral Resources’ Practice Administrator, brings over 25 years of experience into the addiction treatment field and is a certified substance abuse counselor. Rosemarie manages the day-to-day operations of the clinic and admission coordination.

Kristy Jackson, BA, CPC

Kristy has been with Triad Behavioral Resources for 2 years as Patient Coordinator. She has her BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is a nationally certified medical coder. Kristy serves as the patient coordinator at Triad Behavioral Resources.

Erinn Oakley, BA

Erinn recently joined the team at Triad Behavioral Resources in January of 2016 as Project Manager. She graduated from North Carolina State University with her BA in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration and is certified in Mental Health First Aid and Suicide Prevention.

Leopold Campbell, MD

Dr Campbell received his medical degree from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, in 1981, and worked for 20 years as a Family Physician before moving to Washington DC where he completed a residency in Internal Medicine. After, he worked with Cone Health in Greensboro, and saw firsthand the destructive effects of innocent narcotic prescriptions from medical doctors. He now works in Roanoke providing substance abuse treatment to help suffering addicts recover their lives. Dr. Campbell also teaches Transcendental Meditation and practices an Indian Natural Health Care system, known as Maharishi Ayurveda.

William Trost, M.D.

Dr. Trost is a board certified adult psychiatrist with over 10 years experience treating severe mental illness and over 5 years experience providing medication-assisted treatment for opioid dependence as part of a holistic treatment program. He graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2000 with academic honors and completed residency training at Duke University Medical Center.

Charles Kober, PAC

Charles is a Nationally certified Physician Assistant since 1978 with 25 years of experience in Addiction Medicine as well as experience in Primary Care Medicine, Student Health and Correctional Medicine and one year training as Substance Abuse Counselor for correctional facilities in Pittsylvania County for Danville and Pittsylvania County Community Services Board. He enjoys working with others, Old Time Radio, and learning.

Lo Ann Ward, Office Manager

Lo Ann is our office manager at our Danville location and brings 35 years of experience in the management of outpatient behavioral/mental health offices, including substance abuse. She participated in the development and founding of “Gateway”, an inpatient substance abuse program for adolescents at The Psychiatric Institute of Washington, Washington, D.C.

Eric J. Christopher, MD, FAPA

Dr. Christopher practices out of our new Wilmington Office.  He is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he received his M.D. degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He moved to North Carolina to complete his residency training at Duke University Medical Center and has been a resident of NC for 20+ years and is proud to call it home.  He received Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Consult-Liaison Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine.  He practiced at Duke University for close to 20 years where he was an Associate Professor and Medical Director for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Sciences.  He has moved to Wilmington to work at PPD and maintains his clinical practice with TBR in Wilmington.  He has written several articles and book chapters.  He is certified to place buprenorphine implants.  He enjoys working with patients with complex medical, psychiatric and addiction issues.  In his free time he loves to cook and travel and enjoys his hobby of photography.  He enjoys the company of his 5-year old Great Dane, Gus.

Tracy is the Office Manager for the Wilmington office contributing over 26 years of experience with addiction and recovery to the practice. Tracy manages the day to day operations of the office and is currently obtaining her CSAC from Cape Fear Community
College.
